This is the aquarium in Barcelona. There are loads of different creatures to see, all in huge tanks. Kids of all ages love it here. It’s a great place to explore and learn.
Museu de la Xocolata
All kids love chocolate, don’t they? This museum is dedicated to chocolate. It tells the story and the history of chocolate, and there are loads of different things to look at. There’s even a chocolate shop in the cafe so they can sample the delights. Churros with chocolate sauce are a local delicacy and a must try.
Check Out the Street Theatre
Both kids and adults can enjoy the wonders of the street theatre. The street performers may do anything, from dancing to eating fire. Just be careful you don’t get duped by one of the ‘3 cups and a ball’ performers who will no doubt win every single time.
The beaches in Barcelona are gorgeous, and many of them are child friendly. The weather will often make going for a dip even better, so head over there for a day of sandcastles, swimming, and relaxing. Many beaches will be within walking distance from the hotels too. Just take a look on House Trip, for example, to get an idea of nearby amenities.
Bird’s Eye Barcelona
If your children aren’t scared of being up high, then going to the top of the Monument a Colum will present you with some amazing views.
If you go to this theme park, you’ll be able to enjoy fairground style attractions with your children. Hop on the ferris wheel, which isn’t new, but it doesn’t claim to be. You could also scare the bejesus out of them by taking them in the haunted house.
If the weather is a little cooler, you could visit some of the pretty parks and attractions nearby. Take a picnic to spend the day there!
Barcelona Zoo is located in the middle of one of the parks, and will definitely keep the whole family entertained. The gorilla breeding program is fascinating, so make sure you learn all about it.
This isn’t like any old cinema you could find at home. The huge screen will actually make you feel as if you are there with all of the actors! The visual experience is fantastic, even if the film doesn’t have English subtitles.
Climbing Tibidabo mountain is fun, but the theme park at the top is great for the kids!
